Toddlers and cheerios seem to go hand in hand. This activity was inspired by Devon, who runs a family focused blog at www.ureadyteddy.com.
I made my own by incorporating fun facts about Africa that contained the letter “o” along with numbers just like Devon did. This was a winner at our house because my daughter is obsessed with reading words and my son is all about numbers.

There’s no wrong or right way to do this activity. For us, once the counting and reading had worn down, we had a chat over each of the words and what they mean. A lot of it was familiar, e.g fond memories of eating mangoes and jollof rice; dancing to Afrobeats; flamingos and lions. But some things were new, such as baobabs.
